Ason Uzumaki (うずまき朝臣, Uzumaki Ason) is an individual who scours the world in search for the secrets that plague the lives of Shinobi today. Taking up this responsibility and discarding the world of conflict, Ason has undergone his conversion to numerous professions in order to bring the best from his experiences travelling the world. He is a self-proclaimed Scholar, Philosopher and Historian, although the title of Missing-nin has been dumped upon him for his sudden absence from Kirigakure, particularly considering his role as an apprentice towards the former generation of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist. In particular, he placed himself underneath Fuguki Suikazan, Kushimaru Kuriarare, Mangetsu Hōzuki and Ameyuri Ringo, each of whom were lead to believe Ason possessed considerable talent within Kenjutsu.
Ason's change of character from an apprentice to the most violent swordsmen in known history to a peaceful seeker of knowledge came about from his realization of his heritage - the Uzumaki Clan. Pursuing to find out more about the life that was never given to him, he proceeded to comprehend the patterns in the history of Shinobi and their wars; fear. Fear was the driving force behind each of the wars, and it was this fear that Ason wished to find the root of. Based off rumors and stories extrapolated from the Fourth Shinobi World War, Ason goes out to the world's oldest and wisest to seek the truth of the world, and in turn, absolute defy the fate it has imposed unto it.
Background[]
Ancestry[]
Prior to understanding the conception of Ason and everything about his life, the question of his survival of Uzushiogakure's destruction should be answered. A few centuries ago, a man by the name of Tenson Uzumaki was born into the Uzumaki Clan. A prodigy from birth along with few others, Tenson would be considered as a candidate for the head of the Uzumaki Clan along with three other possibilities. Though, according to many, Tenson's abilities outstripped the others considerably.
In this acknowledgement, Tenson eventually succumbed to the vice known as pride. His pride eventually caused him to gain arrogance, which lead to his ultimate downfall and expulsion from the clan. On the day that the Uzumaki Clan Leader was going to provide information on some of the clan's more hidden, secret techniques, somebody else by the name of Hinoe was chosen. Hinoe was a saintly man, who had the compassion that was required for a leader, as well as the talent. This enraged Tenson beyond belief, but he kept silent at the daytime. In the nighttime, however, he arranged a coup d'état of the leader, which ultimately failed as a result of Hinoe's intervention.
Due to this failure, Tenson went to the second part of his plan, that being dubbed "tactical retreat". Along with his immediate family and nobody else, Tenson had escaped from his homeland. For several days on end he was pursued by elite ninja from all over the country, but he was eventually freed following the end of the warring states period.
Tenson stumbled upon a rather large island of sorts, which would later be realized as Kirigakure. The two villages were situated in what would thereafter be dubbed the Land of Water, and were ruled by the First Mizukage. Tenson and his family settled within the village. Although they were plagued by bloodshed, it had hidden them from the persecution that would be upon them if they remained within Uzushiogakure, which would later be destroyed as a result of Tenson's demonstration of his skills.
Childhood[]
Ason, born to two unnamed parents, lived a life that was constantly overshadowed by the bloody mist of Kirigakure. Having recently recuperated from the reign of the Fourth Mizukage, Kirigakure was plunged into yet another civil war. The lack of leadership probed the strongest of the clans to rise up and attempt to take the seat that Yagura had once forcefully taken from them, and as a direct consequence, lead the entirety of Kirigakure to be drowned in blood.
Blades clashed daily, per minute, even. Murders were becoming increasingly apparent and there was no safe haven for anyone, anymore. Among these various victims were Ason's family. A family of Fūinjutsu practitioners, his family had no other choice but to function as mercenaries for those who would pay them. It was through this decision that Ason had been exposed to countless scenarios of combat, of the true essence of the Uzumaki Clan and their sealing expertise.
In fact, it was only when Ason was four years old that his mother and father thought it be appropriate that Ason was trained within the Uzumaki's secrets. After all, Ason demonstrated a remarkable growth rate, and at his age had already been capable of coherent and fluent speech, despite his vocabulary not being very advanced. The decision came from Ason's father conducting an elaborate seal to entirely annihilate the Hōzuki Clan's Hydrification, something which Ason was astounded by, and sought some from of entertainment from.
It was in these few years that Ason's foundation of training within the Uzumaki Style came along. But prior to his exposure to more Fūinjutsu, Ason was trained within Chakra Control, something which he picked up like a moth to the light - it was second nature to him. Ason demonstrated plentiful chakra reserves, but even further, he found that animating this chakra was also possible for him, a realization he gained at ten years old.
Having already been trained in the fundamental aspects of Shinobi combat, the teachings of the Academy and the Uzumaki's way of fighting, Ason had been involved within the family's constant mercenary work. Alas, it was this involvement that lead to the event which would change Ason's entire life - his parents' death. Because of their consistent involvement in these civil wars, Ason's parents had been given significant infamy, and were approached by those regarded as the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist.
The parents of the young Ason had pitted an amazing fight considering how outnumbered they were, and even managed to significantly injure the likes of Jinin Akebino. However, they were eventually overwhelmed. The combination of the swordsmen and their abilities caused both of them to die right in front of Ason's eyes. In their last moments, Ason's father, crawling upon the ground, rolled a scroll towards Ason's feet. He pleaded for the young man to run away, to live a life on his own in a country not marred by war.
And yet...Ason didn't listen. He stood there, he watched his parents die. And upon their death...he smiled.
